TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR INTERHERMES CAR RENTAL interhermes
Driving license
Drivers must hold a B driving license and be over 25 years old to rent a car. The driver's license must have been issued at least three years before the date of rental. The driver must either hold a driving license issued by a country of the European Union including the United Kingdom and Gibraltar, the United States or Canada or an International Driving Permit. The International Driving Permit must be accompanied by the driving license of the country of the driver of the car.
Method of payment
The lessee is discounting the cost of the hire upon receipt of the vehicle. the methods of payment of a rental can be in the form of cash or by credit/debit card (VISA , MASTERCARD). Not accepted DINERS-AMEX-PAYPAL-PREPAID.

Minimum rental time
The minimum rental charge is one day. Inter Hermes allows the renter a grace period for the return of the vehicle up to 29 minutes at no extra charge. After the grace period, the renter will be charged a minimum of one additional day's rental fee.
Car Deliveries - Pick-ups and Costs
Deliveries or pick-ups of hired cars outside the office can be arranged at least 1 day in advance. The car delivery - collection service outside the office is provided free of charge for bookings within the city of Samos, the area of Pythagorion and the airport. For long distances the extra charge is priced according to the delivery/pick-up location.

Out of Hours Service
Out-of-hours service available on request: car pick-up/delivery outside normal counter hours. There is an amount charge, which you will pay when you sign the rental agreement.

Early return of vehicle
If the vehicle is returned earlier than the date shown on the contract there will be no refund.
What is included in the price
Prices include VAT, cdw CWD with discharge, depending on the category of the vehicle, roadside assistance in case of an accident, second driver and unlimited mileage.
Fuel policy
On collection of the vehicle, the vehicle's fuel tank will either be full or have some fuel in it.
If you return your car with less fuel than it had at the time of pick-up, the car rental company will withhold part of the deposit to cover the shortage of fuel. It will cost you more than the amount you would have paid to fill the tank yourself.
Car Interior
Smoking inside the car is prohibited, as is entering the car with wet swimwear or towels.
If the vehicle is returned with stains that require special cleaning (e.g. animal hair, sand, smoking, sunscreen or salt stains) the renter will be charged an extra fee.

Traffic offences
The tenant bears full responsibility for fines and any related consequences, obligated to settle them with the relevant authorities and promptly inform us.
Driving off the road
Inter Hermes vehicles are designated for use solely on paved roads. Off-road driving is permissible only with designated four-wheel drive vehicles and under the guidance of a company representative for specific routes. Any damages incurred while driving off-road on unpaved surfaces not designated for such use will result in additional charges.

Select a specific car model/brand
Reservations are made for a specific car category (group), not a particular make or model. While you may express a preference for a specific car make at the time of collection, this is subject to availability. The company reserves the right to substitute the originally booked car with one of a similar or larger class if necessary.
Transportation by ferry
Transport by ship is not possible.
Coverage information
When picking up the car, please make sure you read the terms and conditions before signing the rental agreement. It is important that you understand the exclusions and limitations of the agreement and policy.
Third Party Insurance
What it covers: It covers insurance, death and bodily injury of third parties, including the occupants of the Inter Hermes vehicle (other than the driver of the Inter Hermes car) and property damage to third parties, up to the amount set by law and relevant ministerial decisions as a minimum limit.
What it does not cover: Theft of personal belongings on or in the Inter Hermes vehicle. Death or personal injury to the driver of the Inter Hermes vehicle. Death or injury to the driver of an Inter Hermes vehicle.
This cover is only valid if you comply with the terms of the rental agreement.
Mixed Insurance
Known as: CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)
What it covers: If your car body is damaged, the maximum amount you will pay for repairs will be the damage liability amount. This cover applies provided you comply with the terms of the rental agreement. The liability amounts are as follows:

Amount of liability
The liability amount means that in case of an accident of the rented car you have to pay up to a sum of money depending on the category. The liability amount is paid by the renter regardless of his/her fault.
At the car rental counter you may decide to buy additional cover to reduce or deduct your liability amount or to cover what is not covered by the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW).
Please note: If you do this, the contract will be between you and the car rental company.

What is not covered
Damage caused intentionally or negligently, by using the wrong fuel, by breach of contract, caused to the underside of the vehicle, windscreen, roof, antenna, mirrors, rims, tires and (towing charges or for the duration of the car's disuse are not covered).
Loss/theft/damage to: keys, antennas, jack, triangles, wipers, windscreen wipers, tank cap, luggage covers or any other fixed or movable part of the car.
The insurance does not cover when the driver is under the influence of substances (alcohol, drugs etc.) and irresponsible driving.
In all the above cases the renter is obliged to pay the full cost of damage regardless of the amount.
Theft Insurance
The rental price includes partial or total theft coverage with a liability amount of 1250€ . For full exemption of the partial or total theft amount the customer can pay an additional charge.

This cover applies provided that you comply with the terms of the rental agreement.
Loss or damage
If the car is stolen, or seriously damaged, or damaged in an accident where someone else is involved, please contact the rental company and the police immediately. If you are unable to provide the necessary documentation from the police, you will be responsible for the full cost of replacing/repairing the car. If the car is slightly damaged and no one else is involved, please contact the rental company immediately.
The Hirer is responsible for loss/theft/damage to any item in the car, during or after the hire.
Damage to the car will be charged by the car hire company once the car has been returned - and will incur a Damage Administration Fee in addition to the amount deducted from the liability amount.

Guarantee
When you pick up your car, you will be asked for a 700 € warranty for the car. 700 € warranty for the car.
After the rental is completed and if there is no damage to the car, the deposit will be returned to you.
Due to exchange rate fluctuations and other possible bank charges, the car rental company cannot be held responsible for any difference between the amount paid and the amount refunded.
Cancelation
In the event of cancellation of a booking made through the website either by prepayment or deposit no amount will be refunded. In case of arrival of a paid reservation without the proper rental documents required by law and mentioned in our terms and conditions the company has the right not to refund any money. Bookings made in the form of a request and subsequently no partial or full payment is made no booking is valid.
Νο Show
In case the renter does not show up on the agreed day and time of delivery without prior notice the company has the right to cancel the reservation after 3 hours and has the right of non-refund.
Change of Reservation
The hirer has no right to make a change to the booking less than 7 days from the agreed delivery day.
After the rental - Traffic violations
If you have been fined, such as a speeding or parking ticket, you must inform the company of the payment procedure.
If you do not inform, we are obliged to give your details to the authorities when requested to do so. This can happen months after the rental and this may incur additional costs.
Important Information
By making this booking, you confirm that you have read and accepted the rental terms and conditions.
At the rental point, customers will also sign a rental agreement before taking the key. It is important that you read the agreement carefully. If anything is unclear, discuss it with the staff at the counter before signing.
The hire company reserves the right to refuse a car if, in the opinion of the staff at the counter, the driver is not fit to drive or a member of the group is violent, threatening or in any way endangering the health and safety of others. In such a case, you will not be entitled to any refund or compensation.
Please note that the staff at the counter will not provide a car if all requirements (age, driver's license, payment card, documents, etc.) are not met. In such a case, you will not be entitled to any refund or compensation.
Before you leave, you must check the car and make sure that you have reported any damages to the staff at the counter and they have been noted on the rental agreement. Otherwise, you may be held responsible for this damage.
General Rules
When you rent a car, you agree to use it responsibly. You must not:
- drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other type of drug
- Carry flammable or dangerous goods or any toxic, corrosive, corrosive, radioactive or otherwise harmful substances
- carry anything which, because of its smell and/or condition, could cause damage to the car or result in loss of time or money to the rental company
- carry animals
- install a roof rack, a roof rack, a hot tub or anything similar, unless provided by the rental company
- rent the car to anyone else
- carry passengers for a fee (as a taxi)
- participate in rallies, races or tests
- give driving lessons
- tow another vehicle
- drive on unpaved roads or on roads whose surface or condition could cause damage to the car
- violate in any way the Highway Code or other laws.
Seat belt - Wherever you drive, the driver and passengers must wear seat belts, if available, wherever they sit in the car.
You should be aware that all cars have a no-smoking policy. Fines will be imposed if this policy is not observed.
To make sure you understand the rules and laws for driving a hire car at home and abroad, it is important to read the Terms & Conditions in full before you go to collect your car.
In particular, please make sure you know what documents and other forms you need to take with you (e.g. driving license, passport - ID documents, payment card) and what you will have to pay at the car rental company's cash desk. If you don't have everything you need, the car rental company may not allow you to take the car.
Fines
An Immobilization Fee is payable and mandatory in the event of an accident. This is in addition to the amount deducted from the liability amount and is compulsory. This charge is calculated according to the category of car and the number of days of repair.
Lost Keys - If you lose your key(s), you will be charged the cost of replacement.
If you have not returned the car after the agreed delivery time, the insurance will no longer apply. In addition, you will be charged a fine as well as the cost of an extra day's rental.
